Siemens to manufacture light-rail vehicles in-house

Siemens Transportation Systems Inc. now is manufacturing the low-floor S70 and high-floor SD160 light-rail vehicles at its Sacramento, Calif., facility.

The car builder currently is expanding its Sacramento plant. In July 2005, Siemens announced it will build light-rail carshells in-house.
