St. Louis Metro posts 15.7 percent ridership spike in January

< href=”http;//www.metrostlouis.org”>St. Louis Metro is on a ridership roll. After carrying 3.7 percent more light-rail passengers in first-quarter 2006 compared with the same 2005 period, the agency carried 1.1 million passengers in January — a 15.7 percent spike compared with January 2005.
Metro expects ridership to continue its upward climb when the agency opens the eight-mile, $550 million Cross County MetroLink extension later this year.
