More Los Angeles County residents with access to an automobile are taking Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority’s (LA MTA) trains and buses to work compared with a few years ago, according to a survey recently conducted by the authority.
The survey showed that 49 percent of rail passengers and 26 percent of bus passengers had access to automobiles, compared with 39 percent and 21 percent, respectively, in 2002.
"As congestion continues to grow in Los Angeles County, the Metro system is becoming an increasingly attractive way to get around," said LA MTA Chair Frank Roberts in a prepared statement.
