Sweden's Skane region inks $77 million electric train deal with Bombardier

Bombardier Transportation recently obtained a $77 million contract from Sweden’s Region Skane to build eight three-car electric multiple-unit trains.
Designed to travel across the Oeresund bridge between Denmark and Sweden, the cars will operate on different rail infrastructure in each country. Trains will feature a dual system, enabling them to automatically shift signaling and power systems when crossing the countries’ border.
