Swedish railway contracts SWECO to provide consulting services for track realignment
advertisement
Sweden’s National Railway Administration recently awarded a contract to SWECO Energuide to provide consulting services for relaying tracks along Stockholm’s Alvsjo-Arsta line.
The railway is relaying tracks for commuter and long-distance trains traveling into Stockholm from the south to align the tracks with the proposed Citybanan (City Line).
SWECO is responsible for preparing documents for signal safety and power supply. The consulting firm also will help plan and design new stations in Odenplan and City.
A planned underground double-track line, Citybanan would run between southern Stockholm’s Sodra station to Tomtebod in northern Stockholm to expand capacity through central Stockholm.
