Swedish railway to install LED signs onboard high-speed trains

Swedish state railway Statens Jarnvagar recently contracted Digital Recorders Inc. subsidiary Mobitec AB to install light emitting diode (LED) display signs on high-speed train door windows.

Mobitec plans to begin delivery in spring 2005 and complete the order in 2006. The contract includes an option to extend deliveries until summer 2007. Under the $500,000 to $1.1 million contract, Mobitec also will maintain the high-speed fleets’ existing signs.
