Transportation Communications International Union (TCU) recently reached an agreement with the National Railway Labor Conference Committee under which Brotherhood of Railway Carmen division-represented workers will have the same monthly out-of-pocket health-care expenses.

Effective Sept. 1, workers belonging to Wabash Hospital Association (WHA) will pay total monthly cost-sharing fees to United HealthCare (UHC) and health-care dues to WHA not to exceed the monthly cost-sharing fee of an employee belonging only to UHC.

The agreement will save WHA members about $650 per year and enable them to retain the same health care coverage, TCU officials said in a prepared statement.
