The Transportation Marketing & Communications Association (TMCA) recently elected new officers and board members, who will begin serving terms July 1.

The officers are: Hernan Vera, group director of sales and marketing-global supply chain solutions for Ryder, president; Tom Nightingale, vice president of communications and chief marketing officer for Con-way Inc., chairman; Dick Metzler, chief commercial officer for Greatwide Logistics Services, vice president; Todd Thompson, senior VP of business development for Exel Transportation Services, treasurer; and Susan Terpay, director of corporate communications for Norfolk Southern Corp., secretary.

The board members are: Clayton Boyce, vice president of public affairs for the American Trucking Associations; Dave Hoppens, VP of marketing for Pacer International; Mason Kauffman, founder and chairman of the World Logistics Organization; Roy Schleicher, senior director of trade development-marketing and public relations for the Jacksonville Port Authority; and Fred Thayer, director of corporate communications for Werner Enterprises.

TMCA represents the interests of marketing, sales and communications professionals in all modes and market segments of the transportation and logistics industries.
