The Transportation Marketing & Communications Association (TMCA) recently named 79 winners of the 2008 Compass Awards. Presented in 10 categories, the awards recognize North American transportation and logistics firms that created "innovative and results-oriented" marketing and communications programs.

Out of more than 200 entries, about 8 percent received awards of excellence and 29 percent won awards of merit. Award recipients will be honored June 3 at TMCA's annual conference at the Ponte Vedra Inn near Jacksonville, Fla.
