TNT Logistics North America recently received DaimlerChrysler Corp.'s annual Gold Award for the third time in 11 years. The award recognizes manufacturing facilities' and service providers' outstanding performance.

Since 1988, TNT Logistics has provided transportation and plant support logistics services to DaimlerChrysler's assembly plants in Auburn Hills and Southfield, Mich.; Portage, Ind.; Mount Juliet, Tenn.; and Bramalea and Chatham, Ontario.

"The highest honor you can receive in our business is recognition from your customer for service excellence," said TNT Logistics Chief Operating Officer Jeff Hurley in a prepared statement.

TNT Logistics previously won the automaker's gold award in 1993 and 1997, and a DaimlerChrysler Pentastar award in 1990 and 1991.

The logistics provider also offers various services to railroads, including auto ramp operation management, inbound transportation, equipment transportation and sequencing, locomotive fueling and repairs, rail-car cleaning and warehousing.
