Transportation Community Awareness and Emergency Response (TRANSCAER®) and the U.S. Department of Energy’s Environmental Management Office of Transportation recently partnered to bolster their emergency responder outreach programs.
The parties will operate their programs under a “shared mission” to provide training and resources to personnel that respond to hazardous and radio-active material emergencies, according to a prepared statement.
TRANSCAER® is sponsored by the Association of American Railroads, American Chemistry Council, Chemical Educational Foundation, CHEMTREC®, Chlorine Institute Inc. and National Tank Truck Carriers Inc.
