TRANSFLO Corp. Jan. 23 officially opened terminals in Paris, Ky., and Westfield, Mass. — the 78th and 79th locations in the CSX Corp. subsidiary's bulk-terminal network.
The 34-car-spot Paris terminal is located on TransKentucky Transportation Railroad, a CSX Transportation wholly owned short line.
The 21-car-spot Westfield terminal is located on Pioneer Valley Railroad, which is owned by Pinsly Railroad Co.
"These latest locations create new opportunities for our customers to extend their reach into new markets utilizing the superior economics of rail transportation combined with local truck delivery to reach non-rail served customers," said Kyle Hancock, managing director-TRANSFLO, adding that the company expects to open more terminals this year.
TRANSFLO provides rail-centric transloading, materials-management and distribution services across North America.
