The American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) recently appointed Trinity Railway Express Chief Operating Officer Pete Sklannik Jr. chairman of the Transportation Security Committee.
Since joining TRE as COO in 2004, Sklannik has introduced several major security initiatives, such as deploying random canine patrol units in cooperation with the Transportation Security Administration, Dallas-Fort Worth Airport Police and other local law enforcement, and conducting risk assessments.
Sklannik also serves as vice chairman of ASCE’s Public Transport Committee, which is part of the society’s Transportation & Development Institute.
