TTX Co. recently joined the Association of American Railroads as an associate member.
The AAR's associate program is open to railway suppliers, and Class II and III railroads. Associate members can participate in "concentration areas that match their areas of particular interest" and are invited to attend special railroad events, AAR officials said in a prepared statement.
TTX provides pooled rail cars and car management services to the North American rail industry. The company's pooled fleet includes gondolas, and intermodal, automotive, flat and box cars.
TTX is owned by Burlington Northern Santa Fe, CSX Transportation, Florida East Coast Railway, Guilford Rail System, Grand Trunk Western Railroad Co., Illinois Central Railroad Co., Kansas City Southern, Norfolk Southern Railway, Soo Line Railroad Co. and Union Pacific Railroad.
