Tacoma port earns magazine's sustainability honor

Inbound Logistics magazine recently named the Port of Tacoma, Wash., to its annual list of the top 50 supply-chain partners committed to sustainability.

Other “Green 50 Supply Chain Partners” include ports in Los Angeles and Long Beach, Calif., and Charleston, S.C., and the North Carolina State Ports Authority.

The magazine recognized the port of Tacoma for restoring habitat sites for salmon and other wildlife, and advancing a range of cleanup and improvement projects in and around Commencement Bay.
