Texas Rail Advocates will hold a conference Jan. 28 at the Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport to discuss the South Central High Speed Rail Corridor, one of 11 federally designated high-speed corridors.
Entitled "South Central High Speed Rail Corridor — Providing Dynamic Mobility for Tomorrow’s Economy: An Introduction," the conference will include presentations addressing rail transportation along the corridor, including freight, intercity passenger and commuter.
Confirmed speakers include Gilbert Carmichael, senior chairman of the Intermodal Transportation Institute; Joe Adams, Union Pacific Railroad; John Cikota, Federal Railroad Administration; Tom Janaky, Colorado Railcar Manufacturing L.L.C.; Joe Kyle, Oklahoma Department of Transportation; Gil Mallery, Amtrak vice president of planning and development; Tommy Merritt, Texas State Representative; Mario Medina and Darin Kosmak, Texas DOT; and Curtis Morgan, Texas Transportation Institute.

Texas group schedules conference to address high-speed rail corridor
