The Senate recently confirmed William Timken Jr. as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States of America to the Federal Republic of Germany.
Timken is chairman of The Timken Co., which supplies roller bearings and rail bearing grease, and provides bearing reconditioning services to the rail industry.
Timken began his career with the company in 1962 and retired in 2003. He has served as the Timken’s chairman since 1975.
