BNSF Railway Co. recently received Toyota Logistics Services’ Excellence in Quality Performance award for 2006. The award recognizes the railroad’s transportation service and damage-free delivery efforts.

Last year, BNSF transported more than 150,000 Toyota, Lexus and Scion vehicles and achieved a 99 percent damage-free rate. The railroad moves vehicles originating from Toyota plants in Cambridge, Ontario; Georgetown, Ky.; Princeton, Ind.; San Antonio, Texas; and Fremont, Calif., as well as ports in Long Beach, Calif., and Portland, Ore.

During the past few years, BNSF has received Toyota Logistics Services’ logistics, railroad customer service and on-time performance excellence awards.
