advertisement
Gulf States Toyota (GST) plans to build a vehicle processing center in Temple, Texas, adjacent to a BNSF Railway Co. line.
The 100-acre facility will distribute new Toyota and Scion vehicles to dealerships in Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Arkansas and Mississippi, and process about 100,000 vehicles annually. The center will receive vehicles from Toyota's ports of entry, domestic plants in Kentucky, Indiana and California, and a new Toyota plant in Tupelo, Miss.
BNSF and GST are in the planning stages for the facility's rail infrastructure. The center is expected to open in 2011.
