Toyota starts up CPR-served automotive plant in Canada
advertisement
Earlier this month, the first vehicles rolled off an assembly line at Toyota Motor Sales’ new Woodstock plant — the first automotive facility to be built in the province of Ontario in 20 years.
The plant will produce up to 100,000 vehicles annually, including the new RAV4.
In 2006, Canadian Pacific Railway reached a long-term agreement with Toyota to serve the Woodstock facility. The Class I will be the primary rail carrier for finished vehicles transported throughout North America.
