TranSystems, Watco and Harbour form transportation facility design/build/operate firm

TranSystems Corp., the Watco Cos. Inc. and Harbour Contractors Inc. recently agreed in principle to create the Transportation and Logistics Consortium (TLC), which will provide transportation facility development, design, construction and operation services.
TLC will serve clients in both the private and public sectors, with a primary focus on carriers, shippers and public transportation organizations.
"Driving the creation of TLC is the recognition that transportation providers and users desire an outsourced organization with the ability to provide a bundled services approach," the parties said in a prepared statement. "The need for this collaboration grew from the knowledge that large infrastructure developments require a host of specialized services and specific expertise that is not found under one roof."
