TriMet posts all-time high ridership during Thanksgiving holiday

Tri-County Metropolitan Transportation Authority’s (TriMet) MAX Red Line carried a record-setting 4,220 passengers to and from Portland International Airport on both Wednesday and Sunday last week — a 35 percent and 87 percent increase compared with a typical weekday and Sunday, respectively.
TriMet set the previous daily record of 3,670 passengers during Thanksgiving weekend 2004.
During a 10-day period associated with the holiday, more than 30,000 passengers rode the MAX light-rail trains to and from the airport.
