By Sept. 30, Tri-County Metropolitan Transportation District of Oregon (TriMet) plans to install closed-circuit television cameras at 13 MAX light-rail station platforms and two park-and-ride lots.
Cameras will be installed at 10 Interstate MAX stations, Rose Quarter Transit Center, and Lloyd Center, Skidmore Fountain and Airport terminal stations. In addition, TriMet will upgrade cameras at Sunset Transit Center and the Gresham garage.
The $2 million project will be funded through money saved from the Interstate MAX project and TriMet’s general fund.
