U.K. lessor contracts Wabtec Rail to overhaul transit-car bogies

Wabtec Corp. subsidiary Wabtec Rail recently obtained a 10-year, $140 million contract from HBSC Rail to overhaul about 6,000 transit vehicle bogies.

Wabtec Rail will begin delivering finished bogies to the United Kingdom-based rail equipment lessor in the fourth quarter. Wabtec Rail will perform overhauls at its Doncaster, England, facility.
