UP: February coal train loadings lagged in SPRB, climbed in Colorado/Utah

In February, Union Pacific Railroad loaded 886 coal trains in the Southern Powder River Basin (SPRB) compared with 925 trains in February 2011. The Class I averaged 30.6 trains per day in the region.

In the Colorado/Utah region, UP loaded 222 coal trains in February versus 203 trains a year ago. Coal loadings averaged 7.66 trains per day.
