UP honors five firms as 'supplier of the year'

On May 7, Union Pacific Railroad announced five winners of its 2002 Supplier of the Year Award, which recognizes material and service suppliers' new product initiatives and service quality.


Winners are Harsco Track Technologies, The Okonite Co., L.B. Foster Co., Miner Enterprises Inc. and Searle Petroleum Co.


"The success of the railroad relies heavily on creating value through innovative supplier relationships," said UP Director of Supply Hillary Parker in a prepared statement.
