UP selects Balfour Beatty for grade-crossing contract work

Balfour Beatty Rail System Inc. recently was selected by Union Pacific Railroad to participate in a performance-based contract to install highway-grade crossing warning devices.
The two-year pact covers installation services for UP crossings in Illinois, Texas, Louisiana and California. The work includes assembly and installation of crossing gates, signals, cantilevers, cable, houses, cases, foundations and other crossing-warning system materials as supplied by UP.
