In Midland, trains will travel 5 mph faster each week until overall train speed increases from 40 mph to 60 mph by April 14.
In Grand Saline, UP and Amtrak trains will travel 5 mph faster each week until overall freight-train speed increases from 50 mph to 70 mph by April 14, and passenger-train speed increases from 50 mph to 75 mph by April 21.
And in Abilene, freight trains will travel 5 mph faster each week until overall train speed increases from 30 mph to 60 mph by April 28.
