Union Pacific Railroad recently unveiled the Heritage Series of locomotives featuring paint schemes designed to honor workers from predecessor railroads of the past. Now, the Class I plans to take the wraps off a custom-painted locomotive to commemorate the U.S. president of the present.

On Oct. 18, UP will unveil a locomotive honoring President George W. Bush at an invitation-only ceremony at Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas. After the ceremony, President Bush will host a ticketed forum entitled "Railroads: Building America" that will include UP Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Dick Davidson.
