UPS Autogistics presents UP prize as year's top railroad

Union Pacific Railroad April 11 received UPS Autogistics' 2001 Rail Carrier of the Year Award.
UPS Autogistics bases the award on service performance, communication, network design, equipment supply and quality.
UP last year transported more than 1.1 million Ford vehicles to western and southern distribution centers through St. Louis and Kansas City, Mo., gateways.
A division of UPS Logistics group, UPS Autogistics in March 2000 was selected by Ford Motor Co. to manage the automaker's finished-vehicle transportation logistics.
