Black Enterprise magazine recently named Union Pacific Railroad’s Eric Butler one of the “100 Most Powerful Executives in Corporate America.”
Vice president and general manager of industrial products, Butler joined UP in 1986 and has served in his current role since 2005.
Profiling the most influential African-Americans who accomplish extraordinary achievements, Black Enterprise selected candidates from among the highest-ranking executives at national and global firms with gross revenues of at least $1 billion.
“Eric is more than a leader. He is a role model not only within Union Pacific, but also our industry and corporate America,” said Jack Koraleski, UP’s executive vice president of marketing and sales, in a prepared statement.
