UTA reconsiders route alignment for TRAX airport extension

Tomorrow, the Utah Transit Authority (UTA) will hold an open house to review a proposed TRAX light-rail extension between downtown Salt Lake City and the Salt Lake International Airport.

The authority selected a preferred alignment for the route in 1999. But land use patterns have since changed, so officials are reevaluating corridor options. UTA also will reconsider locations for the corridor’s four proposed stations.
