• Vossloh AG has renewed Chief Executive Officer Werner Andree’s contract for another five years. The contract will expire in August 2014. Andree has served as CEO since August 2007 and been a member of Vossloh’s executive board since 2001.
• Engineering firm ARCADIS has appointed Albert Malinak senior bridge engineer. He will work on a flood protection project in New Orleans, as well as other major projects. Malinak has 34 years’ experience as a structural engineer and project manager, including the design of structural steel beams, plate girders and pier bents, and various reinforced concrete substructures.
• RAIL.ONE won a contract from Spanish rail authority ADIF to provide 120,000 concrete ties for a new 266-mile high-speed line being constructed between Madrid and Valencia. In addition, the company will equip 14 tunnels with its RHEDA 2000® ballastless track system. This month, RAIL.ONE will begin delivering ties for the line, which is scheduled for completion in 2010.
