On July 27, the Surface Transportation Board will hear arguments in the Otter Tail Power Co. vs. BNSF Railway Co. rate dispute.
The utility is challenging the reasonableness of BNSF’s rates to move coal via unit trains from Powder River Basin mines in Wyoming to Otter Tail’s power generating plant near Milbank, S.D.
During the hearing, the parties will each have 40 minutes to argue their case.
