Today, the Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority (VTA) will hold a public hearing to review the Draft Environmental Impact Report for the Santa Clara-Alum Rock Transit Improvement Project.

The authority plans to construct a 7.4-mile transit corridor between the San Jose Diridon Station and Eastridge Transit Center. The draft report analyzes several options for the corridor, including light rail and bus rapid transit.
