The Port Authority of Allegheny County has found a temporary replacement for Chief Executive Officer Paul Skoutelas, who resigned to become senior vice president of Parsons Brinckerhoff. The authority named General Counsel Dennis Veraldi acting CEO, effective Sept. 13.
CEO of law firm Eckert Seamans Cherin & Mellott L.L.C., Veraldi has experience dealing with various mass transit issues, including construction projects, railroad relocations, Federal Transportation Administration requirements, and bidding and procurement procedures.
The authority’s board plans to find a permanent successor to Skoutelas, who served as CEO since 1997.
