Rail News: Rail Industry Trends
Kelso Technologies Inc. recently reached an agreement with Virginia Sealing Products Inc. (VSP) under which the company will help increase market awareness about Kelso’s line of pressure relief valves for North American rail and industrial applications.
Kelso has worked closely with VSP in the past to develop and supply sealing material and products for Kelso’s JS75 line of pressure relief valves for railroad tank cars.
“As we transition from a pure research and development company to a marketing- and sales-focused entity, it is important to align ourselves with companies that understand the importance of our new valve technology,” said Kelso Chief Executive Officer John Carswell in a prepared statement.
Kelso's patented pressure relief valves are designed to provide external function without the use of helical compression springs and enable easier inspection. The valve, which offers reduced weight, less product contamination and less risk to service personnel, can be installed on new and existing railroad tank cars.
