Vossloh AG’s board recently ousted Gerhard Eschenröder as chief executive officer and executive board chairman.

The board revoked “for good cause” his contract as top officer because of “serious differences of opinion on the executive board and between the CEO and supervisory board,” according to a prepared statement.

The board also named Vossloh Chief Financial Officer Werner Andree executive board spokesman.

Eschenröder joined Vossloh as CEO in March 2006. His contract would have expired Feb. 28, 2009. Prior to Vossloh, Eschenröder held various senior positions at Gerresheimer Glas AG subsidiaries and served as general manager at Vitakraft-Werk, and first general manager and management board chairman at Ruhrgas Industrie GmbH.

Vossloh’s rail infrastructure division supplies fastening and switch systems, and provides infrastructure services. The company’s motive power and components division builds locomotives, provides transportation systems and supplies electrical systems.
