Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority recently began construction on a six-level parking structure near the White Flint Metrorail station on the Red Line in Montgomery County, Md.
Expected to be complete in summer 2005 and featuring 1,272 parking spaces, the $13.7 million structure is part of a larger joint development project. WMATA has sold an adjacent service lot, which will be used for further development, according to a prepared statement.
The station serves about 7,225 weekday passengers.
