Tomorrow, Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) officials plan to hold a public hearing to discuss a proposed Metro Transit Police station near the authority’s Fort Trotten Metrorail station.
Designed to accommodate future department growth, the three-story, 18,500-square-foot station would provide office space for 140 police officers. The proposed station would be built on WMATA-owned property.
