On March 19, The Watco Cos. changed or expanded some senior executive's responsibilities to "place our employees where they can help our customers the most," said Watco President and Chief Executive Officer Rick Webb in a prepared statement.

Effective immediately:

• Executive Vice President of Switching Services Randy Bennett will report directly to Webb;

• Chief Operating Officer, Mechanical Services Wayne Sigley will be in charge of all Jacksonville, Fla., operations;

• Property Manager, Support Service Division Brad Snow will be responsible for Pittsburg, Kan., warehousing operations; and

• Watco founder and Chairman Dick Webb will be in charge of all mechanical operations in Pittsburg and Coffeyville, Kan.

"As we continue to improve as a company, we will be calling on individuals to assume additional responsibilities, while allowing others to focus their energy on specific profit centers," said Rick Webb.

Watco owns and operates eight short lines in nine states.
