advertisement
Watco Cos. Inc. earlier this year named Paul Fries general manager of 237-mile Stillwater Central Railroad (SLWC) and Brad Smith general manager of 396-mile Palouse River and Coulee City Railroad (PCC), replacing Fries.
Fries previously served as track man, foreman and track inspector for Eastern Idaho Railroad (EIR), and track inspector for Blue Mountain Railroad (BLMR) before serving as PCC GM for one year.
Smith previously served in various capacities at BLMR and EIR, most recently as Idaho Falls, Idaho, territory trainmaster.
Watco, too, recently named Jimmy Horner, former South Kansas & Oklahoma Railroad trainmaster, marketing officer for SLWC, which in January began operating 120 track miles formerly owned and operated by Burlington Northern Santa Fe.
And the holding company, which owns and operates eight short lines, last month named Vice President of Marketing Services Alan Elliott vice president of customer support and billing services.
