On April 7, Canadian National Railway Co. launched Velocity powered by CN, a Web campaign designed to promote the Class I's e-business tools.
The campaign highlights several CN customers that use the railroad's Internet applications, including "Intermodal Direct," "My Shipments," "Shipping Instructions," "Car Order," "Switch," and "Release & Order In."
"We use CN's 'Quick Trace' tool to monitor our shipments and ensure that our trailers will arrive on time," said Martin Kotva, materials handling manager for Sears Canada, in a prepared statement. "Having the right products at the right stores is critical to ensure our customers' satisfaction."
Each day, more than 3,500 carload and intermodal customers use CN's e-business tools.
"Velocity powered by CN gives our customers simple yet powerful tools that allow them to improve their transportation logistics, customer service and payment process," said Anita Ernesaks, CN vice president of eBusiness.
