Web site serves as storage-capacity matchmaker
advertisement
LogisticalWorld BV March 12 launched StorageCapacity.net, a Web site designed as a storage-capacity marketplace for businesses offering or needing temporary or permanent space.
LogisticalWorld officials believe the free site (www.storagecapacity.net) — which is available in English and Dutch, and soon will be available in Spanish and French — can reduce inefficiencies associated with finding available and suitable storage capacity, according to a prepared statement.
The site — aimed at all businesses, including transportation and logistics companies — enables registered companies to advertise spare storage capacity caused by seasonal influences, temporary turnover drops or other factors.
StorageCapacity.net lists storage types as warehouses, silos and bulk; each type has its own search features designed to enable users to more-successfully find a matching capacity buyer.
Registered companies searching for storage capacity complete a form after finding a match to request information on the advertising firm; sellers can check information accuracy by email before supplying space. Companies then would reach their own purchase agreement.
