Kastle: Intrusion detection video surveillance service

Using Kastle Systems' gateway, customers can enable the Kastle video monitoring service on existing cameras to count people or cars within designated areas. Through this, Kastle is able to ascertain traffic flow and patterns. Using video analytics, Kastle detects and responds, in real time, to unauthorized activities such as loitering, object removed, object left behind, or tailgating through entrances.

Kastle integrates video with alarm monitoring to visually verify activity before dispatching police. Kastle operators can identify unwanted activity, as defined by the customer, and use video as an audio channel to remotely interrogate persons conducting that activity.

Here's an example of one company's security story: Lee Iron and Metal Co. is a family-owned and operated scrap metal recycler in North Carolina that previously utilized a security guard service during non-business hours. However, even with the guard on duty, the yard faced frequent thefts and incidents.

Looking to eliminate these incidents, Lee Iron and Metal Co. chose Kastle Systems' Remote Video Guarding for better security for their operations at a reduced cost.

Kastle Systems designed a customized security system to meet the company's unique needs. Through the utilization of existing cameras and infrastructure, installation costs were reduced. Where no camera coverage had previously existed, additional cameras were installed for increased protection.

Kastle Systems and Lee Iron and Metal Co. worked together to create security policies and procedures to meet the recycler's needs. Lee Iron and Metal Co. has experienced zero theft losses since Kastle's Remote Video Guarding was implemented, and is saving a significant 89 percent per month, as compared to its previous security guard service expenses.
