ITT Inc.: Veam brand products

ITT Inc.'s Veam brand showcased its range of products and engineering capabilities at InnoTrans 2016, which was held Sept. 20-23 in Berlin.

At the show, ITT displayed its power and high-speed data interconnect technologies, as well as ruggedized, harsh environment platings. The company also highlighted its custom engineering capabilities to tackle the specific and evolving needs of rail customers operating globally.

"Decades of innovative engineering in railway technology have helped us develop a unique perspective on the needs and challenges of rail customers, and a global footprint to serve them," said Gary Ashurst, vice president and general manager of ITT's Interconnect Solutions Transportation and Industrial business.

Specific products ITT Veam showcased at InnoTrans 2016 included:

    •    CIR M12 Data Connectors – The CIR M12 series delivers reliable high-speed data connections in the harshest environments, according to the company. Based on increased customer demand for data grouping, the CIR M12 bundles multiple lines in the same connector. The connectors are available in one- or four-way configurations and two-, four- or eight-pole contact configurations, all while meeting IP67 standards and maintaining channel performance up to Class FA ISO/IEC to support Ethernet up to 10 Gbps and above .
    •    Power Plate Connectors – Compact with fast and simple mating and un-mating, Power Plates are a high power, fully customizable solution for rail applications such as bogies, traction motors, energy storage and converters, company officials said.
    •    Blue Generation Plating® – The RoHS and REACH-compliant zinc-nickel alloy offers extreme durability for harsh environment interconnects, while providing superior conductivity and shielding performance. The innovative plating provides resistance to up to 500 hours of salt spray and withstands temperatures from -55°C to +125°C.
