Ekyrail Enterprises unveils the Ekybell

EkyRail Enterprises Inc. introduces the Ekybell, a high-performance, trouble-free electronic bell that the company says "meets and exceeds" 85 dB sound specifications. The lightweight, compact electronic bell can operate in continuous mode at temperatures over 75 C or 167 F, and can be transitioned to extreme cold as low as -50 C or -58 F. The Ekybell will not exceed 1 amp of inrush current; the running current is 200ma. The electronic bell offers little or no damage to the contacts, which "greatly improves" the life expectancy of the relay and could last the life of the locomotive, the company says.

Visit Ekyrail Enterprises at Booth #2342 at Railway Interchange 2017, which will be held Sept. 17-20, 2017, in Indianapolis.
