Cembre: ECODRILL Battery Rail Drill
Cembre S.p.A. offers the ECODRILL LD-16B battery rail drill.
Powered by a 36V 6.2Ah battery, the device features LEDs for precise positioning and safety in the dark, according to the company.
The drill also includes flashing LED safety alarms to indicate wrong insertion, battery undervoltage, battery/motor overheating and other issues.
The plastic body is designed to optimize motor cooling, Cembre officials say. The drill, which doesn't emit fumes that could pollute tunnels, operates without the use of require combustible fuel or mains power.
Cembre will be showcasing its products at the Railway Systems Suppliers Inc.'s 2018 C&S Exhibition, which will take place May 21-24.
