An AAR M-1003 certified company, Cooper Bearings Inc. (CBX) offers a full line of new and remanufactured journal boxes, bearings, and other wheel and axle-related products used in both freight- and transit-rail (LRV and locomotive) applications.
Known for precise remanufacturing of boxes that are typically out of specification, CBX recently moved into a new state-of-the art facility, where the company will use CNC equipment for high-quality machining and welding operations. The welding operations utilized, which require specialty training and certifications, offer customers “a true value for these products,” says Kevin Foster, CBX senior vice president and general manager.“The CBX product line offers a complete line up of both our ‘True Blue Series™’ unit exchange (UX), or our new offer of New-UX, which is new product exchanged for old cores,” says Paul Foster, president and chief executive officer of PowerRail Distribution Inc. “This offers the railroad the ability to increase reliability and dependability.”CBX also manufactures new journal boxes and distributes a line of new bearings.
