J&A Industries: MLP structures for PTC

J&A Industries, a division of B&B Roadway and Security Solutions, manufactures a range of railway signal light mast-ladder-platform (MLP) structures used in positive train control (PTC) systems.

Constructed of aluminum or galvanized steel, J&A’s patented folding design requires minimal field assembly.  A typical unit can be assembled and ready to place on a foundation in 30 minutes or less.

Several configuration types are available and certain versions can be shipped 100 percent assembled. J&A Industries offers a Standard MLP, Close Clearance MLP and a Back-2-Back Close Clearance MLP. Assembled units require minimal field assembly time and reduce field labor costs when compared to a traditional signal mast structure. Configurations to maximize shipping and storage footprints are also available.

All MLP’s meet full AREMA specifications for structures and offer several platform, color-light and ladder combinations. Each MLP structure includes terminal boxes and prewired cable for the color-light heads, sold separately.

J&A MLP structures offer:
• galvanized Steel or 6061 aluminum material availability;
• AREMA specifications and OSHA standards requirements;
• additional options such as ladder safety guards, foundations and multiple terminal box configurations; and
• project specific, fully customizable configurations and options.
